I could say something cool about how Fine Fools is changing the landscape of problogging (which it isn't...I don't think...maybe it is...is it?), but I can't because I am tired and tired people don't say cool things. They are just too tired. We are cool.

Posting Schedule

October 5th, 2025 by Scrivs

Today I spoke about quantity at Work Boxers and looking at some of the sites here I can definitely see some room for improvement and that all starts with me. So I have decided to create a posting schedule for myself and hopefully I can stick with it until these sites pick up.

  • I Like Cameras: 1/week. Really I almost scared to post here now because I have to live up to the high standards being set.
  • Movable Phone: 6-10/day. Site is dead in the water it seems and hasn’t been updated since 9/26. I wanted it to become like ILC, but realize that phones are somewhat different than the broad topic of photography. Therefore, for now this will just be another camera site until innovation hits me. Yes ten times per day is a lot, but I want the site to look very active.
  • Gardgy: 7-12/day. Another suicidal task, but I must set a certain standard and gadget news can be found everywhere, which probably isn’t as good as it seems.
  • Damn, I’m Cute: 3-5/day. This is the easiest site to write for because it is so fun so this requirement will not be a problem.
  • It’s Useless: 3-5/day. Not as much pressure because the crew over there is starting to find it’s groove.
  • Work Boxers: 3-5/week. I like to write more articles on this site and traffic isn’t a concern so once per day isn’t a problem and if I can do more then it’s just an added benefit.
  • Insert 25: 3-5/day. I really want to get some reviews cranked out since I have plenty of anime to go through.
  • Fine Fools: 3-5/week. If there is nothing happening in the community I’m certainly not going to make stuff up.

Will I be able to stick with this schedule and write for Whitespace, 9rules and Business Logs along with guiding our team to finishing up secret projects 1-5? Sure, no problem….starting tomorrow.

Yowzers, do you mean you, yourself will do this many posts a day, or you with your writers? I can certainly post more if you’d like…just didn’t want to overflood during my first days. :)

  2. Scrivs Says:

Nope just me. That’s a max of 49 posts a day if my math is right…WTF was I thinking when I wrote this?! Oh well. Time to get cracking.

  3. Nick Douglas Says:

I calculated your weekly goal at Blogebrity, assuming the 5-day weeks you mentioned earlier.

  4. Scrivs Says:

Geez thanks Nick, when you put it in numbers like that it seems much easier.

  5. Scrivs Says:

Guess I should also note that as writers join up the numbers go down so theoretically I would like for this to last up till ummmmm tomorrow. :)

Haha, damn I am tired already…time to revise schedule ;)

Nearly 50 posts a day? Wow….I’m tired just thinking about it. I agree though, quantity of posts is a huge part of a blogs success. Like you said at Work Boxers, does quality suffer when quantity is the chief goal? I don’t know. It’s a tough balance and certainly easier to maintain when you’ve got more than one person contributing to a site. Sounds like you’ve got your work cut out for you but based on what I’ve seen so far at 9rules and fine fools, I’m sure you’ll do great. Just don’t fall asleep on the keyboard. QWERTY doesn’t make for a great forehead tattoo. ;-)

Hey, just remember, Darren Rowse does around 18-30 posts a day (usually around 24 or so). I don’t think that you need to do 50 a day to get these sites to the place you want them to be, especially since you have help on them.

Remember, quality over quantity. 2-3 on each site every day would probably work wonders over the long term, and make it easy for people to keep up on the stories they want to read on the sites.

If you post too much, they will have information overload and go elsewhere.

    Just my 2 cents. :)

  9. Scrivs Says:

I agree David, but these posts are spread out over 8 different sites so that only averages out to 5-6/day on each site. Far from information overload and the min. per day is 26 posts so I should be okay for a while.

[…] I don’t get it. Paul’s created a network and as he’s said anyone can do it, it’s not hard; but then again what the hell is the point, apart from the money. I can understand the need for people to talk about different subjects. I know for one I’d like to have a political blog, the previously mentioned WordPress portal, and a comic book site, but I’d rather invest the time and effort to nurture something of my own. If I find like minded people that want to contribute to the site, then that’s great, some form of compensation should be delivered (this could be monetary or otherwise). Not sure how to view Pauls’ Network, as he’s thinking about writing 50 posts a day, across his entire network. It’s definitely one way of giving the sites some character, although I fear that momentum cannot possibly be maintained by one person without a complete breakdown in quality of content. Unless the posts are one liners with a couple of images and a link, in which case why would anyone read the sites? […]

I have to agree with the quality over quanity. I rather have a website that has a posting once a week but the content is amazing over 15 post in one day. My personal posting schedule is 1 post a day for all my blogs.
